Wie konfiguriere ich xorg.conf für Breitbild-VNC unter Headless Linux / Ubuntu?

Ich habe eine Ubuntu 12.10 Box konfiguriert, um kopflos zu laufen. Ich habe es durch viele Versuche und Irrtümer geschafft, X kopflos zu booten, aber ich habe immer noch einen Fehler:

Beim Booten mit dem Monitor funktioniert alles in Ordnung, Breitbildauflösung und beim Booten ohne Kopf bleibt es bei 4: 3-Auflösungen. Ich vermute, dass es etwas mit dem Vesa-Treiber zu tun hat.

Technische Daten:

  • Grafikkarte Intel HD 4000 (i7 integriert)
  • Ubuntu 12.10 (neueste Updates)

Mein als Server verwendeter Xubuntu 12.04 LTS-Desktop ist mit einer KVM verbunden und wird häufig neu gestartet, ohne mit dem Display, der Tastatur und der Maus verbunden zu sein. Wenn der Intel-Treiber gestartet wird, wird kein verbundenes Display angezeigt und es wird auf den vesa-Treiber zurückgegriffen.

Es gibt einen einfacheren Weg, dies zu tun, wenn Sie nur kopflos werden: Verwenden Sie keinen Standard-X-Server.

Ich mache das ziemlich oft auf Boxen, an denen fast nie Monitore angebracht sind. Dieses Beispiel verwendet xdm unter Debian, aber ich habe es mit kdm und gdm gemacht.

Geben Sie Xvnc als X-Server an, der mit seinem vollständigen Pfad verwendet werden soll, und geben Sie die Auflösung in der Befehlszeile an. Hier ist zum Beispiel einer meiner / etc / X11 / xdm / X-Server aus einer Headless-Box.

Wenn der vesa-Treiber ohne KMS-Unterstützung gestartet und xrandr -q ausgeführt wird, wird die Ausgabe als Standard anstelle von VGA1, HDM1 oder was auch immer bezeichnet. Dies ist eine schnellere Methode zur Diagnose dieser Situation als das Scannen der Protokolldatei /etc/var/Xorg.0.log.

Zumindest auf meinem Ubuntu 14.04 startet der Intel-Treiber auch dann, wenn der Bildschirm nicht angeschlossen ist. Es fiel mir jedoch schwer, eine Modeline zu finden, die mit meinem Monitor und meiner Grafikkarte funktioniert. Schließen Sie den Monitor an, starten Sie ihn und verwenden Sie ihn xrandr --verbose, um den Namen des Ausgangs und eine Arbeitsmoduszeile abzurufen.
