Wie kann ich umschaltbare Grafiken auf meinem Samsung RF711 mit Intel HD & GeForce 540M-Grafikkarten unter Ubuntu 14.04 LTS verwenden?

Ich habe einen Samsung RF711 Intel Core i7 Laptop mit Ubuntu 14.04 LTS 64 Bit. Dies wird mit zwei Grafikkarten geliefert - der Intel-Karte (die standardmäßig ausgeführt wird) und einer Nvidia GeForce GT 540M (die ich unter Ubuntu noch nie zum Laufen gebracht habe).

Ich habe verschiedene Konfigurationen mit Hummel ausprobiert, aber letztendlich sind alle fehlgeschlagen, als ich versucht habe, optirun zu verwenden (ich habe einige Male im Xorg-Protokoll einen Fehler wie "Software-Rendering-Cache kann nicht zugeordnet werden" festgestellt).

Ich hatte heute Morgen einen weiteren Versuch mit nvidia-prime. Erstens habe ich sichergestellt, dass keine Hummelpakete installiert wurden, und bin gelaufen

sudo apt-get purge nvidia*

um alle installierten nvidia-pakete zu entfernen. Ich habe es dann getan

sudo dpkg-reconfigure lightdm

um sicherzustellen, dass lightdm die Standardeinstellung war

sudo apt-get install nvidia-331

die die 331 Treiber, nvidia-prime, nvidia Einstellungen usw. installiert.

Nach dem Neustart gehe ich in den Low-Graphics-Modus. Von hier aus habe ich es nur geschafft, zum Desktop zurückzukehren, indem ich die nvidia-Pakete mit entfernt habe

sudo apt-get purge nvidia*

und neu starten. Dadurch wird der Laptop natürlich wieder so, wie er ursprünglich war.

Ein bisschen mehr Information für Sie: 1) Ich habe gerade die nvidia-337-Treiber ausprobiert, mit genau dem gleichen Ergebnis. 2) Ich bin nicht zu sehr mit umschaltbaren Grafiken beschäftigt und würde gerne die ganze Zeit nur die Nvidia-Karte verwenden (ich habe dies im BIOS versucht, hatte aber nicht die Möglichkeit, sie auszuwählen). Natürlich, wenn es eine Lösung gibt, die umschaltbare Grafiken ermöglicht, wäre dies jedoch ideal!

Hallo, danke für die Antwort. Ich habe das BIOS durchgesehen und konnte überhaupt keine Optionen für die Auswahl einer Grafikkarte finden. Derzeit kann ich die Nvidia-Karte überhaupt nicht verwenden, und ich würde das gerne tun können. Im Idealfall kann ich auswählen, welche Karte ich für jedes von mir ausgeführte Programm verwende (wie es Bumblebee zulässt), aber ich würde mich freuen, solange ich die Nvidia-Karte verwenden kann, auch wenn sie standardmäßig für alles verwendet wird.

Sie können das nvidia-prime- Paket ausprobieren , um die Nvidia Optimus-Technologie besser zu unterstützen.
